Reeves Amplification Super 78

The EddieVan Halen tone is the stuff of legends.  In fact, Eddie himself used to tell some tall tales of modifications to his gear which in turn fed the legends of the amazing tone.  Many amp manufacturers have made some pretty good attempts at producing amps that get that classic Van Halen tone.

Reeves amplification has thrown their hat into the ring with the Super '78.  This is a 50 watt EL34 driven head that aims to capture the Brown Sound.  The head features hand wired turret board construction.  A master volume helps to get the saturated sound without blowing out the windows.

Check out the video from the Reeves site as well as the sound clips.  Some of them are dead on EVH.
At $1799 this thing is only a hundred bucks more than a Marshall JVM but gives you some serious tone and a fit and finish up to the highest standards.
