I spend a fair amount of time surfing the net. I frequent lots of guitar and amplifier sites. Sure there are a lot of great ones. But there are a few that give a little more than just the standard online catalog. These sites give you great info, maybe a little peak inside the factory or some really helpful tips.
Here are a few of my favorites.
Visit the Hamer Guitars Guitar Guru blog and you will be treated to some insight from a master guitar builder. Jol Danzig gives you a glimpse inside the world of Hamer guitars. With project journals and video you can see some of the worlds best guitars come to life.
Mesa/Boogie’s website is full of great info. They have great write ups on each of their amplifiers. The best part is the Articles section which has some great documents written by Randall Smith. They also have a great section to download PDF manuals for most of their line, even the discontinued stuff.
Boss has been making quality compact pedals for over 30 years. Their website demonstrates their commitment to the guitar community with interactive demos, audio samples, Podcasts, and the Boss User Group.
These are just a few of the many great sites out there to enlighten us guitarist. Stay tuned for more great manufacturer sites to come.
